A Pre-Hardmode Guide

A beginner's guide to terraria pre-hardmode

These are the endgame of the 4 classes

Those four classes include Melee, Ranger, Mage, and Summoner. Each has different weapons, armor, accessories, and fighting styles. They are all rather balanced, and not one is significantly stronger or weaker than the other. However, I would suggest that beginners choose Ranger or Melee as they are simpler and easier to play than the other 2 classes. But the focus of this webpage is on the Melee class, however, the other classes can still follow a large amount of this tutorial as it isnt until hardmode where the classes begin to seperate drastically.

World Evil Biome

Choosing your Evil biome

Before you choose your class, you will have to create your world. You can choose between the Corruption or the Crimson. Both of which are the "Evil Biomes", you could also put it on random but I would suggest the Corruption for reasons I will explain later. Lastly, you can choose the difficulty of your world.

Difficulty

Chosing your difficulty

There are 4, Journey, Classic, Expert, and Master mode. Journey mode is equal to the creative mode of Minecraft. Classic would be easy/normal mode, but I wouldn't suggest playing on it if you're new. Expert mode could be seen as the hard mode, however, on the expert mode, you get extra accessories that help significantly with the difficulty. Master mode is only for those who are confident with the game, however, new players can beat it. If you're feeling confident then you can choose it and earn trophies to decorate your world with.
